Free advice
Are you still unsure which material is right for you, or what you want your ring to look like in the end?
Then let’s have a chat about it at your convenience — free of charge and with absolutely no obligation.
Just choose a time slot that suits you:
What to expect during your consultation
In about 30 minutes, we’ll go through everything you need to know before your ring-making course. You’ll be sitting right in the middle of our workshop in Berlin — so you’ll be able to see exactly where your ring will be made, and you can handle the materials and finished pieces.
Which material suits you best?
Yellow, white or rose gold, platinum, silver or a combination of several metals: each material feels different, ages differently and varies in price. We’ll show you samples you can touch and explain how the alloys really differ in everyday use — especially if you do a lot of manual work as part of your job.
What would you like your ring to look like?
Width, profile, finish, engraving, perhaps a stone: we’ll sketch it out together until we get it just right. Feel free to bring along any photos or screenshots you like — that’s the quickest way for us to understand what’s important to you.
What should you expect?
With us, the course fee and material costs are charged separately. The course fee is fixed, whilst the material costs depend on how much gold, platinum or silver your ring actually contains in the end. During our consultation, we’ll work through the specifics of your project so that you know exactly what you’re getting into.
How does a course work?
We’ll walk you through the day — from the very first hammer blow right through to the moment you take your finished ring home. That way, you’ll know in advance what to expect and how much time you should set aside.
Advice on signet rings
Signet rings are a craft in their own right, which is why we offer a separate consultation for them. This covers coats of arms, monograms and initials; the choice between hand-engraving and stone-cutting; and the question of which plate and ring shape best suits your design. If you have a reference – an old signet ring, a drawing, a family coat of arms – please bring it with you or send it to us in advance.
How to get the most out of your appointment
- Come in pairs. When it comes to wedding rings, it’s worth both partners being present — their preferences often differ more than you might think.
- Bring some inspiration with you. Photos, screenshots, sketches: they all help us reach a shared understanding more quickly.
- Don’t forget the ring size. If you already have a ring that fits, please bring it with you. Otherwise, we’ll take your measurements here.
- Plan well in advance. For wedding dates, you should allow about three months’ notice so that you can find a suitable course date at your leisure.
