Gold rings

Gold, lat. aurum, is a precious metal and is characterised in particular by its striking golden colour, density and resistance to environmental influences. We use gold in our rings with a wide variety of alloys.

The gold alloys in our ring forge are mixtures of the precious metals gold, silver, copper and palladium. These alloys are often created to improve the mechanical properties of gold rings, as gold is very soft in its pure form. By adding other metals, colour nuances, hardness, strength and other technical properties can be improved.

Here are our gold alloys for your dream ring

Yellow gold

This is the most common gold alloy and is created by adding copper and silver. The exact mixture varies, which can result in different shades of yellow gold.

White gold

To make gold white, we use palladium and silver. Depending on the amount of palladium added, intermediate colours can also be created, such as the sand gold we call gold. To completely discolour gold, we add 18% palladium to a 750 alloy. For sand gold, it is 8% or 10% palladium.

Red gold and rose gold

The addition of copper gives gold a reddish colour. Depending on the amount of copper added, the colour can vary from light pink to deep red.

Green gold

These alloys are created by adding only silver. The exact mixture influences the colour.

750 gold

This is an alloy containing 75% gold and 25% other metals. It is a common choice for jewellery.

585 gold

The proportion of gold here is 58.3%, while 41.7% consists of other metals.

900 gold

The gold content here is 90%
