PRECIOUS METAL RECYCLING
We are able to produce alloys of any precious metal in our workshop
We try to leave as little trace as possible on our planet. We do this by adding as much precious metal to the cycle as we take from it. Recycling and upcycling are the most consistent form of sustainability.
We have removed Fairtrade precious metals from our range because we believe that recycling is the most logical and cleanest way to process precious metals and wear them as jewellery with a clear conscience.
Upcycling
Customers like to bring old family jewellery with them. We then work together to find a solution to the extent to which we can reuse the precious metal. In addition to the sustainable aspect, this also has a very nice personal component.
It is important to us that you understand how the price of our rings is made up. Even if we use scrap gold (including the gold you bring with you), we calculate the precious metal with a fair profit factor - plus taxes and manufacturing costs or exchange fees.
The purchase price of old gold (including the gold you bring with you) is significantly lower than the selling price of processed gold - partly because no tax is payable on the purchase, but tax is payable on the sale. This difference is part of our calculation. You can find the current price of scrap gold on our Calculate costs page.
Would you like to transform your old family jewellery into something new? call us for more information, or arrange an appointment Appointment for a consultation in our workshop and we will find a joint solution.
Recycling
We obtain our precious metal from so-called refineries. These have undertaken to guarantee complete traceability of the materials used and to provide information about their origin at all times. They guarantee that no precious metal is purchased from mines. Of course, it is important to realise that the precious metals were extracted from mines at some point.
