Cost calculation - overview
The cost of a ring depends on several factors such as choice of material, size, width, material thickness and the type of workmanship. Any extras such as engravings or gemstones also play a role. The final price category of your ring is also influenced by the customisation process. Whether you want to make your ring yourself in a workshop or have it made by us, all these factors determine the price. The current price of precious metals also determines the cost of your ring.
Our ring cost calculator
You can use the ring cost calculator to estimate the cost of having your personalised ring, proposal ring or wedding band made from various precious metals. Please enter the size, the desired ring width and material thickness in the cost calculator. The resulting costs, depending on the choice of precious metal, are shown in the table that appears. If you would like to include a second ring in the calculation, tick the corresponding box.
Please note that the prices given are only estimates and the actual price on site depends on the actual weight of the piece of jewellery. The information in the cost calculator is based on a rectangular profile. As a rule, the weight and price of the rings are approx. 5-15 % below the total price stated here. Use the cost calculator to make an informed decision and get a realistic idea of the price category for your rings.
Using scrap gold - prices & information
If you would like to bring your own old gold, we can process it into your ring. You can see the current value of your old gold in the old gold calculator below.
It is important to us that you understand exactly how the price of your ring is made up. Even if we use the scrap gold you bring with you, we calculate the precious metal with a fair profit factor. Taxes and manufacturing costs or exchange fees are added to this.
The purchase price of old gold is significantly lower than the price of processed gold, as no taxes are incurred when buying, but they are when selling. This difference is factored into our pricing and explains why the final ring price differs from the pure old gold value.
