Buy a signet ring - personally made for you
In our RINGSCHMIEDE BERLIN you can order signet rings that are made exclusively for you as individual, unique pieces. All signet ring models you see here are customised by us.
We don't provide you with any pre-produced standard rings. Each signet ring is designed and manufactured according to your order so that the material, shape, engraving and symbolism are exactly right for you. This customised production ensures that your ring is not only of high quality and precisely crafted, but also has a strong personal touch - an important aspect for signet rings in particular.
While they used to be seen as a sign of authority and prestige, signet rings are now often worn as an expression of one's origin or identity. They are often personalised with a family crest, initials or individual symbols. With a customised unique piece from our workshop, you will receive a signet ring that reflects your history and is made with the highest quality craftsmanship.
We distinguish between two categories for the realisation of coats of arms: Stone engraving and metal engraving. For both techniques, we work with highly qualified craftswomen in their field.
How to create your personalised signet ring
To make your signet ring truly individual and tell your own story, you can determine every detail yourself. We follow a tried-and-tested process to create your signet ring. First, we create a base ring that already has the shape and proportions you want. At this point, you come to our workshop for a fitting. Here we can fine-tune the shape and, above all, the fit and size until everything fits exactly. Only when the ring fits your hand perfectly do we begin the engraving, stone processing and final surface finishes - this is how we ensure that your signet ring is not only visually appealing, but also completely convincing when worn.
When you receive your Have a signet ring made we start with a personal consultation. Here we discuss all the details of your design together. We will also determine the right size for the ring together. Our ring sizer and photos of your hand will help with this. Think in advance about how you would like to design the seal area - for example with a coat of arms, initials or symbols - and on which finger you would like to wear the ring, for example on your little finger, ring finger or middle finger. We then take care of the production, precisely and with the utmost care.
The end result is a unique piece of jewellery that has personality, impresses with its craftsmanship and clearly stands out from any form of mass-produced item. We only use precious metals from sustainable sources for your signet ring - recycled, upcycled and consciously selected.
Design options and shapes
If you want to buy a signet ring from us or design one yourself, you decide the design entirely according to your own ideas. We give you complete freedom - from the shape and materials to the details of the seal surface.
You can choose between classics such as gold, platinum and silver. We offer gold in different alloys (585 and 750): Yellow gold, white gold, red gold or rose gold.
There are virtually no limits to your creativity when it comes to the shape of the ring: oval, rectangular or plain. An antique, bulky look is particularly popular with men. The design of the signet, whether with a coat of arms, initials or a personalised symbol, is also entirely up to you. The result is a signet ring that really suits you.
Signet ring with coat of arms
Originally, coat of arms rings were used to seal important documents. They therefore have a long tradition and signet rings with coats of arms are still very popular today. Many choose to immortalise the family coat of arms, making the ring not only an elegant piece of jewellery, but also a bearer of family history. A coat of arms ring combines tradition, personality and a special emotional meaning, making each ring unique.
Signet ring with engraving
You can also have your signet ring personalised with an engraving. Engraving your initials is particularly popular and gives your ring a personalised touch.
Three high-quality engraving techniques are available for the design: stone engraving, hand metal engraving and laser engraving. For the two classic crafts, we work with masters of their trade - for hand metal engraving with an engraver whose steady hand and exceptional sense of proportion make every engraving unique, and for stone engraving with a stone engraver who has mastered this centuries-old technique with the utmost precision. We also use modern laser technology to realise the finest details, lettering or clear graphic motifs.
For stone engravings, we choose from a wide variety of precious materials, including layered stones, sardonyx, layered agate, onyx, lapis lazuli, carnelian, haematite, heliotrope and amethyst. Each stone is individually cut, set and engraved. Alternatively, your signet can be cut directly into the metal by hand - precise, durable and unique. The result is a signet ring that is exactly right for you in terms of material, technique and expression
Signet ring costs: what you can expect
We create each signet ring individually. The price is therefore not based on a fixed list, but on a transparent, comprehensible process. The basis is always the design and production of a basic ring. Based on the shape and volume, we determine the exact weight in the desired alloy - only then do we calculate the actual material costs.
The most important price factors
Gold alloys such as 585 or 750 in yellow, white or rose gold usually make up the largest proportion of the cost. The gold price is always calculated according to the actual metal weight used; calculation, margin and taxes are already included. A solid, wide signet ring can cost three to five times as much as a narrow ring in material alone.
For a stone seal, there are additional costs for stone cutting, setting and stone engraving. A realistic order of magnitude for this is around 300 to 800 euros, depending on the motif, size and stone quality. If the seal is engraved directly into the metal, the price depends on the craftsmanship involved - from fine engravings to deeply cut, sculptural motifs.
The binding total price is fixed as soon as the design, fitting of the basic ring, material, stone and engraving type have been defined. This results in a fair, transparent calculation - precisely tailored to your signet ring. You are welcome to contact our Ring cost calculator get an approximate cost estimate in advance.
